poker run in Phoenix, last Saturday

well, it's certainly after the fact, but, had a great ride on Oct 10th. Just happened to ck out the BACA website, & saw that the Phoenix chapter was having their 1st annual "east side" poker run, so, that old excuse to ride just sorta hit me!!
Left home about 7:30am, made the 150 mile poker run, met lots of great people, & made it home by 7pm - all told, I got about 420 miles for the day. Had been to all the places before, but, was sure great to support such a...

All, Do any HSATF members get to Ephrata, PA for the First Sunday gatherings? If I recall, this Sunday (Oct 4th) will be the last for this year. I'll probably be going as long as the weather cooperates, as it's only about a 45 minute ride, for me. Typically, when the weather is decent, about 1000-1500 bikes gather at the American Legion, with no purpose other than to look at each other's bike.

Well, had a Great Weekend with my cousin & his wife, it was the BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse) 1st annual poker run, I would say it was a 'success!' I think I heard there were 57 bikes, & maybe total of 90 riders/passengers... so, pretty good showing. Folks were Friendly, Food was Great, the Music was Excellent, & the Route was Beautiful! The sky seemed pretty hazy, we wondered if it was some of the California fire smoke moving it's way over us...

Labor Day weekend, the Sugar Pine Ranch rally in Mancos Colorado. Think four corners area to the west, the San Juan Mtns (home to 14,000 ft peaks) to the east all rideable in a single day trip. We're planning a repeat performance of the first T rally, riding the perimeter of Michigan. As we did seven years ago, we'll meet at the Michigan welcome center on US-23, just a little north of the MI/OH border. This is not really an event, but I thought I would mention it here anyway.
Marsha and I were unable to make it to Eureka Springs in the fall of last year and had a conflict that prevented us from making it to the ESRRR in April of this year. We like to spend some time in ES whenever possible and having not been there since June of last year is just too long!!
We are going to take a little ride up through the north east at the end of September that will include a big loop back...

bike show El Paso IL June 6 (Bloomington IL)

A reminder about a bike show for charity (St. Jude Childrens hospital) in El Paso, IL June 6th. 9am to 3 or so. 20+ trophies, food, stunt bike demonstrations, dunk tank and more.

El Paso is about 10 miles north of Bloomington/Normal just off I-39 and on the E-W US 24.

Not far from Peoria.

Cost is $5 to show or sell.

Riding Into History

On May 16th the 10th annual Riding Into History Concours d'Elegance will be held at the World Golf Village in St. Augustine Florida. This years main class is american motorcycles but all types of antique/classic bikes are on display.
I highly recommend attending this show and will be there as a volunteer. Check it out at www.ridingintohistory.org.
