Son Failed His Road Test!

Just got done talking to my son and learned that he failed his motorcycle road test. Seems he forgot to lower his visor and the testor failed him for not having protective eyewear. I am understanding of the safety issue involved here but does it warrant failing the road test.

This just pisses me off.

I finally was prepared to order a set of Cobra Floorboards for my T. I searched ebay and found a pair at $209 that I was pleased with so I 'bid' on the Buy It Now price and of course I won. Now the story gets better. I go to pay for this and I am directed to a PayPal site. PayPal wants me to join before I can use my credit card. So I join. Now PayPal wants me to confirm my account and tells me that I have to wait...

My good friend Dave M. came by yesterday and we replaced the master cylinder assembly, filled 'er with fresh brake fluid, vacuumed the air out, put some serious mirrors on, put on the aftermarket exhaust tips Alan sold me (practically gave 'em to me) and she's back on the road! I didn't have time for a long ride, but it's finally warming up here in MI, and I'm getting geeked just thinking about the riding season approaching!

Off-season is always too long, but this winter just won't let go. I bought my T just in time to ride it over to the local service station, fill the tires, put stabil in the tank, ride it back home and put her in storage. Wow - 3 whole miles... Am I EVER going to be able to enjoy myT?

being Dr. M.L.K. day, many of the radio talk shows here in kansas city were discussing his achievements. personally, i think he was a great man also, but one caller pointed out that we now have a day specifically for Dr. King, but no longer have the same for the great presidents who formed this country. i.e. President Washington and President Lincoln. now they are all lumped into Presidents Day which i assume would also include some of the "bozo's" who've held the office....

just heard on the noon news that some fools in the federal govenrment are saying gas prices aren't high enough and they're wanting to add more taxes on. they site the collapse of the bridge in Minnesota last year, saying there just isn't enough federal money available to help states repair the many bridges that are in similar conditions.

Last Saturday I attended a soldier's funeral as a Patriot Guard Rider. I thought that the wbc had stopped protesting military funerals. They have not. Some of you may remember that I dumped my bike while checking the air in the tires last August. Progressive did great and was VERY generous with the check they gave me for the repairs.
