Have been wanting one for while. Other than the prices scarring me away, I had kind of convinced myself that a Valk was just too large. I found this one at a good price and thought what the heck? And its green...my favorite color. This bike is really clean especially for a bike 12 years old. Only has 30,000 miles. The six cylinder motor is absolutely smooth and the ride on on the interstate is great...80mph, no problem, no vibration. Unfortunately, I knew when I got it I would have to...

many of you may remember rudys accident on his ducati last year when a trash truck crossed two lanes in front of him and totaled his bike. he never replaced it, bought a used porsche boxster instead. but he calls the other night and wants me to go look at a honda metropolitan with him....

alain, you should like this, the 'mad is solo.......removed the trunk and all the other "junk" from the back of the bike, layed the license plate down, studded the seat and tank bib, and made a rear fender bib. can't use the backrest that was on the bike as it attached to the top of rear fender under the seat. so next project will be to make a backrest or somehow modify this one to work....gotta have that backrest!!
oh yeah, sold the trunk for $400 within an hour of...

hadn't said much lately guys, but i had sold all my bikes and had planned (again) to give up riding. i've had so much trouble with my back and hip this year, just decided it wasn't worth it. that's the reason too that i sold the blue mustang and bought the red one. thought if i was going to give up riding, i'd at least have the mustang i wanted.
well, i just can't stay off craigslist, and the other day this '79 yamaha xs1100 came up for sale. don't know...

Got the "Buy a bike" task checked off my Americade to-do list. Just bought a 1999 Yamaha Royal Star Blvd this evening. 19k miles on the clock. From what I have read, it's a V-4, 1300cc engine that puts out about 98hp. The only thing wrong is the exhaust. They are V&H, but not too loud... kind of like a loud Jardine pipe. Going to see if I can add some baffles to tone things down a little, and maybe pickup a set of stock pipes. If not, I'll ride at the back of the...

drifter is solo now

got the drifter set up as a solo ride now and prefer the look much better than with that ugly two up seat. now i need to build a backrest, as i've ridden a couple hundred miles this week and really feel the pain without a backrest. even decided not to use saddlebags on this one. bought the rollbag off ebay and it will hold as much as i will be carrying.
for now, think i'm going to scrap the idea of painting some red on the bike. sort of like the all black, but may just...

My oldest son, Kris, (Uncle Buck) after being around my trike(s) for past three years, has decided that he wants a trike. He also decided that he doesn't want, nor is capable of, coughing up 20 or 30 thousand dollars for one. He has approached me about taking and rebuilding the Red Dragon. I gave him my blessing and said "go fo it"!!
He is young enough and very mechanically capable enough to accomplish the task.
We'll see how it turns out.

Bought this 2000 Valkyrie Tourer to conduct a side-by-side comparison against my Honda Shadow ACE Tourer. The ACE won! But, I do miss the torque in the Valk' 6-cylinder

finally got a few shots of the venture today. these are great bikes, but don't be surprised (i know you won't) if you see it for sale. maybe i'll get used to it, but it is a BIG bike and i really haven't gotten comfortable on it yet. have taken it out the last two evenings for a short ride. once on the highway, it's great, but it's a lot of bike to wrestle around from stop light to stop light.
if the weather is decent, going to ride it to see my mom this...

Now that I'm getting caught up with artwork, it's time to begin work on my bobber project! We've been collecting donor parts for a few months now, and I'm anxious to get this baby at least to "mock up" rolling frame stage so I can make some final decisions on bars/seat/paint. We got the donor bikes stripped this past weekend, and the frame is cut so we can stretch it (we're only stretching her about 4 or 5 inches).
