Cindy and I went on a drive of a little more than 500 miles this last Saturday. We took Hwy 49 over to Hwy 108 east to 395 then south to Virginia Lakes. From there we drove north on 395 to Hwy 89 to Woodfords and back down the hill on Hwy 88. At a little over 500 miles I didn't want to push my bike that hard up the hill with two up and not having a lot of daylight. Last night, a delicious dinner in one of Greenville, SC's most popular restaurant, Mimi's Cafe followed by a stroll up trendy Main St. complete with a Block Party. Three State Twistie Run

Queens Road

My favorite street in Charlotte, NC is Queens Road, which is horseshoe-shaped and surrounds Queens University. It also is lined with huge trees and has a tree-covered mall also with the same very tall trees forming a canopy over the roadways. My New Commute Route

It's been almost 3 weeks since I started my new job in Upcountry South Carolina and I have found, not a awesome route home, but at least a very pleasant ride, mostly free of stoplights and traffic. Key West Trip

Marsha and I just returned from a 3256 mile trip from Texas down to Key West, FL and back. Made a 6 day stop at Micky World to play with some of the grandkids and rode a loop up into Georgia on the way back.
Can't say that I much care for riding in Florida. Lots of beautiful folage, but many, many miles of straight, flat roads.
I'll get some pictures and a more detailed write up together soon.

Had to make a trip to see my son in Tucson this past week, so, "WHY NOT TAKE THE SCOOTER!"

Had decided I was gonna take the 'long way home,' so the trip ended up being about 750 miles (it's only about 220 one way - yep, the long way is Definietly better!!
