I want a trunk

I'd really like to put a trunk on my 98 Tourer. I currently have the sissy bar with a Mustang pad on it, an aftermarket luggage rack that seems to sit at an angle (it's not flat, but kind of leaning "up" a few degrees and I have a Kuryakyn Grand Tour bag mounted on it. It holds a good deal, but a hard locking trunk like a Givi, a Shad or a JC Whitney would be nice. I need one with a decent back pad for the passenger.
I've seen a lot of what looks like garbage on...

Looking for 1999 Replacement Hard Saddlebags

I have a 1999 Honda Shadow VT1100T ACE Tourer. I need replacement saddle bags.

The left saddlebag was more or less wiped out when a vehicle hit and ran the bike in the middle of the night. The lid of the right bag has been degraded by sunshine. So I'm looking to get a new set of hard bags for my bike. Black. I have saddlebag trim rails already installed.

I like the factory bags and replacing them would be preferable. Failing that, what are your recommendations...

Anyone know how to fix this?

I purchased a Honda Line sissy bar for my T and the bar hits the back of the seat and the pad takes up some of the seating are for my wife. I have a cobra seat on it and have tried 3 differeent sissy bars on it. I even had one of my friends that had a regular Honda shadow with a cobra seat on his let me try it on my bike. Still the same. Any help would be appreciated. Schoolbusman.

well, not exactly the tins, just a little "touch up". when i bought the tank decals, couldn't get them with green feathers, so ordered blue. thought it might be a neat contrast, but really didn't like it. so, dug my old sign painting brushes out today and found some model car paint in a metallic green that matched the bike paint pretty close and re-did the feather tips.

Skip - I see you have one of the trunks that I have had my eye on.
My question.... is yours large enough to accomodate a full-face helmet, AND... does yours impact the movement of the hard bag tops enough that you had to put valk (alternate) latched on ?

I am really wanting a hard trunk but am worried about being able to open my hard bags enough to be usable....
I see there are larger and smaller, the smaller it seems may not accomodate a full-face.....

retro fit fuel tank?

Hello gentlemen, my main question at this point is it at all possible to retro fit a tank from another model of Shadow or VTXto the tourer? I am looking at this mainly because I much prefer the speedo on the tank opposed to it's current location. And does any one have info for an after market tank with greater capacity? Just trying to get a game plan together for my return from Iraq in 5 weeks. Thanks again for any help.

Hey all - as a new member I am probably repeating a topic from the past, but even after searching the forum, I still do not know which luggage rack will fit my backrest. I know I can buy a mini rack from MC enterprises for a song (if someone else sings maybe) but I am wanting a square tube Bestem / Hondaline style. These racks all have the mounting holes spaced 1 5/8" apart. The mounting holes for my backrest (the two on each side) are 2 1/4". I can not find out the...
