Indian Revival Gets $30 Million
Indian Motorcycle has successfully executed a capital increase of $30 million in order to fund the re-launch of the company and implement its business plan developed during the past two years. This follows the recent announcement that Indian will close on the purchase of a factory near Charlotte, North Carolina, where its world headquarters is now located (see September's V-Twindustry News). "This capital increase is a clear demonstration of our...

I am surprised to hear that is the base price too. Their previous models were way over-priced. Their prices were as high as Harley Screaming Eagles, yet
their quality was very sub-standard, actually to the point that it made Harleys look extremely reliable in comparison. Even if Indian has much better quality
now, somebody would really have to want an Indian to pay that kind of money. Are there enough rich people that really want an Indian?

Just read about the new Chief line of Indians. Can anyone explain to me their reasoning in starting price at $31,000 for the base model and going up from
there? That is starting into the custom bike market and above most everything HD makes except maybe the CVO Ultra. I always loved the aesthetics of the
Indians, especially the Vintage models, but for 35+ large, I will be looking from afar.

Back in 2001 I participated in the Loop for Life charity ride. It's the one that involves a police escorted ride on all 57 miles of the I-465 loop around

behind too. One of the bikes that rode that day that stuck prominently in my mind was an old Indian Chief. It looked faded, but still glorious.
