I did it. I went and bought a used pull trailer. It's a factory built 3x4 trailer with torsion axle and the wide type 8" tires and wheels with mag hub caps. I was surprised that it was all metal, because it looked like a lot of fiberglass models I've seen. I don't know the brand yet but will take a better look at it this weekend. Paint is a little dull and the gas lifts are shot, but hey, $100 dollars was pretty cheap, I thought.

Rick, I saw and add recently for mechanical/hydraulic disc brakes that fit the torsion axle type trailers. I understand that these are used on the pop-up motocycle campers. It used the weight of the trailer to determine the amount of pressure to apply. I hope to see this add again. It was on ebay about a month ago.

Might do some primative camping on some of my rides, Bob. Also, have woman - will load, if you know what I mean. I figure it will come in handy for those quick runs to town for whatever reason. Before, I was using my bags and rear seat for haulin' stuff. This should be safer and drier for that. I got the oversized trunk project to working, so I have a lot of storage now w/o the trailer. Friend teases me that I need to stop with the projects soon, or I'll turn it into a Wing someday.
I posted a pic of the trailer in my original post above. I believe it is an EZ Go brand. That's what the centers on the hubcaps have on them. The original color was indeed white, but previous owner has re-painted it satin black, hense the dull look.

Al, if I can find a 3 gal metal boat tank, I'll use the quick connect and primer bulb from it, then run a line with the other half of the quick connect to the rear between the bag and rear fender. The line on the bike side will be run up and T'd into the feul line between feul pump and petcock. When I 1st notice that I'm about to run out of gas from the main tank, I can switch it to reserve to stay running. Then I can get off the bike, hook up the line, and then turn petcock on the main tank...

Congrats on the trailer purchase Stan. It sounds like a neat project. Before and after pictures would be fun.
I sold my trailer right after getting back from our 2100 mile trip in July that took Sue and I around Lake Superior.
It worked great and man could we haul the stuff!
But....with Sue and I both riding bikes we discovered that we really did not need a trailer as we could each pack what we needed in our bags and backpacks lashed on between our sissy bars and backrests.
...

One of the 1st mods I have planned for it, is to install an extra fuel tank where most people put their coolers. I think a 3 gal boat tank should fit there pretty well. It's large enough that a cooler should fit inside out of the sun, and if you put your ice in zip-lock freezer bags before placing them in the cooler, spillage won't be a problem either. It appears that the original color was white. Previous owner painted it black to match his HD Ultra, I guess. There is a custom HD tag on the...
