Wisdom #1A - always hide a spare key on your bike somewhereblack electrical tape completely wrapped around it on a bottom frame member, etc works fine. It may be worth its weight in gold sometime. Ask your friendly locksmith if he carries spare blank Honda... ]]>

roof my (gloved) finger tips became acutely painful after about 30 minutes of raking in bitter cold.

			<description><![CDATA[ coming to this thread late, but about the hand warmers, my wife buys both &quot;hand&quot; warmers(too thick and too hot to be near skin, and no adhesive, but
great if you can stick your hands in pockets for a few minutes) and, here is the winner: TOE warmers.

Thin, heat for about 6 hours when opened, have an adhesive strip and don&#39;t get super hot. Should work well for hands too, but you may still need something
between them and skin.

			<description><![CDATA[ Yesterday was my first ride of the season, there is still snow in the ditches. So it was a little chilly first thing in the morning. I have a heated vest, which might seem a little wimpy to some but I would not do without it. It is just wonderful in cooler weather. Leaning back, the warmth on the lower back is really nice. And easy to hook up to battery.<br>
Makes the riding season longer as weather here in Canada can be a little cooler through Spring and Fall. I paid around $100.00 Can. and... ]]></description>

I've seen those sporting goods store version hand warmers, but they just aren't the same.  They aren't adhesive, and they usually seem to be thicker, so I tend to find them a bit too bulky for boots, and where they do fit, they shift and move around.<br><br>
I suppose I do also get some sadistic enjoyment out of seeing macho guys walking really funny because their heat packs have shifted to the undersides or sides of their feet.  But,... ]]></description>

They are called hand warmers and work pretty much in the same way. Don't go looking for these in the feminine department and spread the word to all your friends. 			<description><![CDATA[ You know Marpesia, I have also heard that some hunters use pantyhose to help keep them warm. I always thought that they were just pullin my leg. It turns out that there is some truth to it. I think this is something that was started in Tenn.<br><br>
Like the pads you talk about, I'll just have to take your word for it. I aint a wearin no pads or pantyhose to keep warm.<br><br>

			<description><![CDATA[ In regards to the original topic of staying warm on cold rides, another idea is those neat adhesive Thermarest Menstrual Heating Pads.  Stick one on each body part that you fear might freeze and fall off before your ride and your worries will be soothed away with a continuous stream of blissful heat.<br><br>
