I ordered this radio with remote control. I will be mounting the unit in the saddlebag and the remote on the bars. It is an AM/FM Mp3 CD compatible radio. With the Mp3 option, I can burn a CD with over 200 Mp3's and not have to change CD's on an entire trip! The main unit is only 7"X7"X2". It will take very little room in the bag. It is also a Marine radio that is water resistant! Me thinks me gonna like this!!!!!!!

Dawg2 and I both have the Pyle system and have had no trouble so far. I have not had a problem with the CD skipping. The "T" bags slant to the back
and we mounted the unit back in this slanted area it still leaves most of the bag free.

I'd like to get a radio/CD/MP3 player with a hadlebar remote. I went to an MP3 player about 4 years ago because the vibration from the bike didn't
allow the CD player to track consistently. Even with a 12 second shock memory, it didn't function at high speeds on the slab. With no moving parts, an
MP3 player doesn't have a problem with vibration.

Dawg & Dave: I'd be really interested to hear how your projects work out for you.

The reason I ordered the Pyle Marine unit is for the water resistant remote. I could mount it in the fairing, but that means using a smaller and remounted speedo. I wanted to keep the factory speedo and location.

Rick, If it's water resistant, why does it need to go in a bag? Seems any radio with the same features could do that. There use to be a source that made a clear plastic flip cover for Jeeps and boats that protected the face area. I think JCW sold them for a while.
