My bike started backfiring just a couple hundred miles ago and I think that is because my carbs aren't getting enough gas. Sorry to hear about your loss.  If I were in a similar position I think I would be looking towards eastern TN, western NC and Northern GA.  Milder temps and great roads.   I think GA was the #3 or #4 ranked state for growth in 2005 &amp; 2006.  Most of the cities along I-40 in NC are booming too.<br><br>

			<description><![CDATA[ I'm ready to move to a warm place as long as it has as good motorcycle roads as Ohio. I'm a degreed sales and marketing manager but will sell anything short of snake oil to keep my family fed. Luckily, Kodak treats their terminatees very well and I will be comfortable for almost a year on their serverance program. I just can't sit still for that long.<br><br>

			<description><![CDATA[ Thanks for remembering, Alain. No, I have not become a gelding yet and it looks like that won't happen  in the near future. I was informed a few days ago that my services were no longer required by my employer. No employment, no medical insurance, no V-job.<br><br>
You do not have to remove the rear tire to change the fuel filter. Pull both side covers and remove the battery to get all the room you need. A fairly large needle-nose pliers was used to back off the hose clamps then work the old... ]]></description>

I guess I should check mine too.  I've never changed it and have over 45K miles on the scoot.  I have had an occasional backfire and have noticed that it's not as responsive at higher speeds.<br><br>

I took my T for a ride yesterday with the new fuel filter. That was it, boys and girls! The T ran like a raped ape with no backfires and a greater throttle response. I'm changing that fuel filter every year now. I installed a Car Quest filter number 86003 that cost $3.50. It is clear plastic so I can visually inspect it from time to time.<br><br>

			<description><![CDATA[ yeah, I happened to see that episode too. They had to use a really big wire in the circuit and make it a dead short straight from the battery to put enough current into the .22.  With any of the normal size wiring in the truck (up to 14g), it just melted the wire before anything else happened.<br><br>

			<description><![CDATA[ I watched an episode of &quot;Myth Busters&quot; about that 22 ammo for a fuse thing. They determined that it could be done and that there was no way to make the shell go off in a fuse block. When they intentionally made the cell go off, the casing flew away and the bullet just dropped. So they don't think it could have actually shot the guy. It's one of those urban legends.<br>
