[quote;] The adapter from J&P Cycle is a rod about 3 3/4 inch long, with 1/2 thread on the riser end that screws all the way into the Risers. The area in
the triple tree is 12 mm, a snug fit without any threads on it, and the bottom 1/2 that sticks out is threaded to use the same nuts and washers off the stock
risers. We can't tell any dis-earnable difference, there is no play other than the rubber bushing. The part number...

I found a good independent mechanic who helped me with the risers. He was replacing my fork seals and mounted a new back tire so I welcomed the help with the
riser also. We ended up deciding to put a new brake cable since we thought it risky to possibly put too much stress on it by rerouting the cable. The extra
length on the riser sure makes a lot of difference. I had to get used to the handling change, but that probably took 5 minutes.

Ouch .... ahhh .... one thing about banging your head against the wall, it sure feels good when you stop. Too bad I didn't recognize the blessing in
disguise getting the 12mm threaded risers. But it WAS amusing to hear them emphatically claim how they didn't carry anything metric when I called to
return them.

Start banging your head, Rich. You should have kept the 12mm versions and saved the cost of the adapter bolts. I'm glad to hear that they now offer the
correct bolt size risers for Hondas. The bosses on the bottom of the risers do not have to be ground off and will work fine as is, but some do this for
cosmetic reasons only. I didn't do this myself. Instead, I cut out rubber washers the same thickness as the gap as a filler. An old shock rubber cut in
half worked good for this. You do...

1 - I ordered what was advertized to be the same risers (compatible) as what Stan used. As noted above they indicated that they were threaded for 1/2"-13.
I also ordered the adapter bolts for the Kow as Stan later found and...
