Well, I love my Tourer, but afraid I finally found a Beemer I can sit on all day (courtesy of Sargent seats, Florida). My Honda has 11,500 miles, mostly
highway, and includes about every piece of luggage you can fasten to the bike: Marsee magnetic tank bag, luggage racks with Rapid Transit soft bags (the hard
lids can be opened with them on there), and a very large "Bikers Friend" duffle with rigid PVC liner, large backrest, chrome radiator cover and some
extra accessories....

Stony, By the way, I cut all the attached straps off the Rapid Transit soft bags and use two straps with plastic snap buckles on each side. You can get them at
REI.

Good Luck . Mac

Stony, Thanks for the interest, but the bags are a good selling point for the bike. My photo includes all the luggage. Here's the link for the bags.
They're on sale for $89. http://www.rapidracer.com/ratrre45sa.html

Hope you enjoy the Beamer!

Think you might want to part with the Rapid Transit soft bags? If they are what I think they are, it would be nice to have something that I can attach to
the top of my hard bags.

Thanks for the kind words and advice gents. The BMW is an 04, R1150R, with 5,700 miles. The prior owner had about everything possible on the bike. I had
owned one just like it, as well as an 00, R1100R prior to that. But the seats and ergonomics were terrible for me. Looks like this Sargent seat will work.

drop by the number of T's mfg thread in the General section and add her to the list if you haven't done so yet. Good luck and don't be a stranger,
