Glad you joined us. This is the best place on the internet to find info about the 'T'. It won't take you long to realize that most of us that hang out here consider each other family.

I'm a Washington native currently living in Michigan. I enjoy hearing from people that live there now. Even after 12 years, I still miss the mountains and the ocean.

I have been debating on getting another bike but I don't think the wife will go for it. She wonders why I would need 2 bikes? I asked her why she needed more than 1 purse....... I got the "look"! Well maybe someday.

What a find you got, 3850 miles on a `98! and a beauty to boot. I just saw a `99 on our "for sale board" at work Friday with under 10k miles and they only wanted $4500. I didn't last long at all because it was gone before mid morning today.
Falling in love with this bike was almost as easy as falling in love with my wife. If I could get her to ride with me more often would be great too, but due to circumstances beyond our control that won't happen too soon. Maybe...

Half....that was an interesting story of you buying a Tourer and never having owned a motorcycle before. Talk about a leap of faith. It sounds like you have no regrets about it.

You kind of stopped me in my tracks when I read that your bike was serial number #15. I had to go back and check the list of numbers and then realized that with each year they renumbered the serial numbers starting at zero. I say this because I just bought a 98 Tourer that has the serial number 2/97 0000012...

I have some fond memories form the short time I lived in Washington state.
The Olympic penninsula is still one of my favorit places.

Hey - I was wondering if you would contact me. I saw your post about riding te Olympic Loop - I just got back from Long Beach (see my Cape Disappointment post). Yes I will ride it with you, and I have a couple friends that would join us (mostly Harleys and an Aprilia). We are in training for the 5 corners of the state (1,650 miles in 4 or 5 days).
