I have the cobra boards and love them. My wife also likes the pass. boards. The only time I have had any problems was one time when I was headed into a strong 25mph+ headwind and was running 70 or so. That time my feet were pushed back on the boards. Under 99% of my riding conditions they are wonderful.. They also give a little when you scrape them in the curves. I have started letting my foot rest at an angle on them so the outer edge on my sole serves as an early scrape warning...

Yes Dave, the MC boards fold up, and they do not interfere with V&H pipes. I like the look of Cobra boards better, but for functionality, the MC's are better for my use. I like that they get wider towards the front and allows me more foot positions. I don't know if these are still available today. Only my right board has any vibrations, but they are minimal.

I have Honda Aero boards on my T. The wind coming around the right side will sometimes be strong enough to try to push my leg and foot off the board. The left side doesn't seem to have this problem. Try different boots. I have a pair of boots that are worn and smooth on the sole and they will slip more easily even on the rubber tread of the board. Other boots I have with "waffle maker" soles lock into the ridges of the boards and work much better.

I know what you mean. I recently rode my bro's Road King while my wife road the sportster. I was tingling, she was smiling.

Stan, do you like the MC Boards? They fold if you scrape bottom right? I like the one's that do that rather than bend your frame. I'm not sure I like the look of the MC boards though. Seen too many on Goldwings and I'm trying to get away from that. I thought about a guard, but didn't want my feet to get hung up at a stop...

Be glad it's not a Harley - those things vibrate like the devil - even if they are all rubber mounted. My friends with Harleys are always complaining about tingling hands (and their girlfriends are smiling).

Dave,

I only have a small amount of vibration eminating through my Cobra floorboards. The vibration is small enough that when I wore Triumph motorcycle boots with thick soles for several years I did not notice it all, but when I changed to the thinner soled Cruiser Works boots I would sometimes notice the vibration wanting to move my foot around. I got used to "planting my heel" which kept my foot from wanting to wander.

Is it your left foot or right foot or...

Dave, Maybe it's more than just the boards, like seating position. I found that changing to the Mustang Touring seat (and now the Corbin solo) lowered my body and seemed to lock my feet more on the boards. I had never had floorboards before, so I thought it was just me getting used to them, it's interesting that I was not the only one. Stick with them - they are much more comfortable on the long rides.

Maybe you could add a small heel stop to the rear edge of the boards. Try duct taping a 5/8 std nut to the top of the floorboards near the rear edge, and go for a ride. If it helps you keep your feet on the boards, then bore a hole through the board where you want the nut to be permanently, then place a 1/4" or 5/8" bolt through the hole from the bottom, and then add SS acorn nut to the protruding bolt on top.

I have Cobra boards and I don't experience any vibration like what you described. I do have a bit of vibration, more like a buzzing at about 70mph but nothing uncomfortable or too annoying.

I have MCI boards and they do have some micro-vibrations at above 65 mph, but never enough to move my feet. Actually, the vibrations feel pretty good and it seems to help my poor circulation problem in my feet.

I have road bikes with floorboards in the past, but my T is the first that I have owned with boards. I have a few issues, and shifting is not one of them.
