usually they are stapled at the bottom of the backrest. some are stiched, but i just cut the stich and then staple it when i put it back together. i've only found one that was stiched and it was off a harley. there's got to be a way to get them off...they were put on. the easy ones have zippers.
all the seats i've done are stapled. i first mark the seat with a white grease pen as to where i want the studs, then start taking staples out. remove the cover and install the studs....

I am watching for Stans how to also, I have a Mustang seat thats not studded and my pillion backrest is.

Did you take the cover off or leave it on? I did not se a easy way of removeing the cover.

I bought my SS studs at Hobby Lobby. SS will not rust. I used a double layer of cardboard box flaps to work on and lightly tapped each one into place using a small rubber mallet, then bent the prongs down tight using the end of a small Sharpie marker.
