I just finished the project video. It takes you from the rainy day we brought her home all the way to the maiden voyage. My new tires will be here Monday, and then I can get her inspected. The BRP and Fairy Stone Park are calling me...

Thanks, Alain. Whenever you get a new car, bike, guitar, etc...you're always waiting for that first scratch, mark, or whatever. Personally, "pristine" doesn't look loved or used to me, so I don't mind "character marks" on my guitars, cars, or whatever, but I'd like to keep this paintjob nice for at least a few months!

ARRRRRR, the Jasmine Wind has been christened...I went for a short putt around town yesterday, and left her in the driveway since we would be riding to our weekly Tues. night biker dinner. Lo and behold, upon returning to my steed, there WAS BIRD POOP ON MY REAR FENDER!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA...I should have just painted some seagull poop on it with the words "wash me" carved underneath, then maybe those buggers would leave me alone. I SWEAR, all of my bikes have been POOP MAGNETS!!!

The police only wished they had a bike that looked this good. Those massive and smooth hard bags make the wonderful billboards, do they not? You have good reason to act like a 6 year old at Christmas time. This is something that most of us can only dream of having.

Bob, I STILL haven't stopped smiling...when I cracked open the throttle and leaned her into the first turn, I felt BADTOTHEBONE!!!

Don't know if you could decipher what the guys were saying at the end of the vid when they were laughing. They were saying "it DOES look like a police bike".

FINALLY got the ACE fired up and out on the road! The front fender install went pretty darn easy, too, which is good, because I was absolutely dreading this part of the job. We jacked up the bike just enough to be able to remove the front tire, took off the front tire and caliper, CAREFULLY slid the fender into place with only ONE naughty word through the entire process, and re-installed the tire and caliper. Done deal! *WHEW*

It thundered and rained buckets here last night, and our friend from Woodbridge has to ride the whole way home in the rain on his Aero 750. Poor guy, when he left at 7:30 AM, he didn't look too thrilled. He took 3 days to visit friends, and all he's been doing is hitting rain and fog the whole time - he said he had about 2 hours of clear sky yesterday morning, and that was it. It was so foggy on the BRP he had to crawl it. But he's still planning on stopping at Appomatox on his...
