Elvira needs a new battery.

Last time, I just went to the Honda shop and bought an OEM.

What's available these days as an alternative?

Any suggestions? Recommendations?

I just ordered a sealed T shaped battery from the folks on ebay that Danbgt used. Price was $42.99 + $13 s&h. The part number for these batteries is
SHYB16A-A and it is rated at 18ah. This is the only company that carries a T shaped sealed battery now. The local parts house had these for $74.99 + tax so the
one from mottobatteries on ebay is a good deal.

In 1975 my brother, a friend from college and I were on a trip across the country in my brother's '69 Mustang. One night we stayed at a KOA campground

around and doing it over and over again. Needless-to-say there was nobody still sleeping in that campground after 6 am. Perhaps complaints from residents

The only reason that I'm concerned about the cranking amps, is because of the colder temps in the winter here. I ride year around and these T's just
don't like to turn over very fast when it's cold. I use a trickle charger when it sits for longer than a week, but on those 40F mornings it still
strains the battery and starter a little.

Thanks for the info, Dan. I noticed that this battery is rated at 11 amp hour and no mention of cold crank amps. The sealed gel battery I've been looking
at is 14 amp hour with 200 cold crank amps. The gel battery is $67.95 plus $10.95 s&h. Yours is $39.95 plus $14 s&h. My only question is if the gel
battery with 14 amp hours is worth 50% more than the 11 amp hour battery that you have.
