I am not sure this is the right place to put this question , because I am not sure where it is coming from . I went for a long ride yesterday and noticed that
I am getting a squeaking noise coming from the back of the bike . I thought I had heard it before on shorter rides , but it seemed to be more prevalent
yesterday after riding about 2 hours . On the way home I heard it alot more , but it might just be that I was more aware of it being there . I looked at the

It has not made niose since the one time I noticed it up in Conroe , and I have managed to get a few decent rides in since then . I did take it to the bike
shop in town and had them grease the driveshaft just as a precaution , sounds like some people do it regularly and some people don't know to do it . I am
not sure which type the previous owner was , so I had it done . The shop didn't say that it was good or bad , just did the job . He was really busy when I
went to get the bike...

Fred,
Are you disassembling the driveshaft and servicing all the splines housed in the swingarm with every tire change? Or did you mean just the spline on the
flanged hub that interfaces the wheel to the ring gear (exposed when the wheel is removed)?

TRH,

In general, I do not think there is a problem with the T's drive shaft. I have been cleaning out the old grease and replacing with new grease everytime I
change a tire. That's usually every 11,000 to 13,000 miles depending on which rear tire I buy. After 72,000 miles I have had no problems with the
driveshaft on my T.

I did see that post , but I don't have a manual to look up the proper procedures for servicing the driveshaft assembly , or housing . I had very limited
time to work on the bike today and have not yet really looked at it in depth , it might be more obvious than it sounds . I guess if it is more than I care to
get into right now I can take it to the bike shop up in town and have them put it on a lift and check it out . I am ordering a service manual for it now and
will hopefully get all of...

seems to have stopped for now . The bike has been in the Houston area since new . What should I look for on the driveshaft ? Are there grease fittings ? Also
what all has to come off the bike to get to it well enough to tell anything ? I am actually in the process of taking it apart to try to get it cleaned up a

Be very very careful running it in gear when lifted on a jack. Many bikes have been launched riderless via this method. Some have been launched
through a garage wall!

I looked at the spare set of Honda pads I have and it doesn't have any wear indicators. This is not to say one of the spacers, insulators or clips
doesn't have a tang that performs this function, but it's not on the pads.

No , there really doesn't seem to be . It sounds like the wear indicators on the brake pads , but does not go away when you hit the brakes . I am not even
sure if there are indicators on the rear pads of these bikes , but that is what it sounds like really . It seems to be there at all speeds , and gets louder
the faster you go . I first noticed it at highway speeds , and then started to hear it a lower speeds once I was aware of it . It does seem to have gotten more
