I have to plug this place.

Since I have decided to rebuild the Red Dragon myself, I have started to look for the parts that I know for sure are going to have to be replaced. Or, repaired
if I can't find them.

I don't have the trike back, yet, but from the pictures I have, I know for sure that the frame is twisted at the steering stem.

I checked with Bike Bandit about a new frame. $1600 to $1900. (Ouch!)

I checked with Ron Ayers. Not as bad. $1093. But, may not have one in stock....

Bob....you're sick!

Dan....sorry we couldn't be closer. I could help you with those fiberglass components. A loooonnnnngggg time ago I was buidling a 29 Ford Tudor Sedan
and I had used fiberglass fenders because I had sold the steel ones to fund the car project. Well to make a long story short, I crunched the two front fenders
pretty badly. They were trash as far as I was concerned but I met a fella who was good with fiberglass and he said he would teach me how to repair...

Bob. I'm not talking to you until you change the picture.

Al. At this point I'm not sure what other major components will have to be replaced. That will depend on whet shape the triple tree is in and whether or
not the forks are bent.
Valks have hell-for-stout, inverted front fronts, so they may be ok. It has a 4 1/2 degree EZSteer triple tree. If it is bent, it will be the most expensive
part to replace.
Front fender may have to be replaced, but i have seen them...

Wow Dan.....how great is that!?! Persistence certainly paid off for you my friend. That is an incredible story! I still can't get over your good fortune.

Now I'm not familiar with this trike set up. Are you going to have to cut and weld parts from the new to parts from the old? Or is this a bolt up affair?
I'll be looking forward to following along with your documentary.

By the way....what other major parts are you going to be looking for?

I will do a documentary on the process.

It will be a long process as we are still living in an apartment at the moment.

After we get moved to the new house and get settled in, I'll get started.
