I've installed braided lines on a few bikes. I used Spiegler lines. http://www.spieglerusa.com/

If the stock set will not work, I'm sure they will make a custom length for you.

You should notice a difference in the braking and lever, mostly because a rubber line expands and the braided line will not.

I think they are in the $50-$60 price range.
