J&M JMCB-2003 - Is this my only choice?

         All,

Having recently got back to riding after a 20+ year hiatus, I find that I am riding with the same group fairly frequently two-up with our wives. Is the
JMCB-2003 the only unit that will allow all of us to communicate, both with each other and the wives?

If so, it seems that it is about an $800 touch for the units, cables, antenna, and headsets. This seems pricey, but does it work well?

Any others with experience with these (or other) units?

TIA,

Jeff

Jeff,

I tried a few different communication devices and really could not find one that works well. Most that are VOX activated tend to open a channel with wind or
exhaust noise. Adjusting the VOX to fix this problem caused an un-natural conversation. I find I had to start talking to open the VOX then had to repeat the
first few words. Was concentrating so much on the talking, I was taking my mind off the riding.

Tried a Push-to-talk button but didn't like be wired...
