thx again guys well the painting has started on the ace but the weather has turned cold so not sure how much painting i'll get done for awhile.lol.. but it is looking good.

lol. it actually will look quite similar to your bike i really like the looks of it. i may go with a silver base and then antique white centers on the tank.we'll see how well my painting skills have held up over the years.lol. for now it will just be all silver. i just found a set of hard bags from a 78 flh with the mounts for 75.00 so im going to pick them up and see if i can make them work and paint them to match the bike. i just got the stock bars back on my bike also and made some...

thx for the welcome guys, and i will definitely keep the camera close.lol. and thx for the info on the aftermarket bags i hope i can get a set soon as im going to be painting my ace this winter all silver with maybe some graphics or a two tone design not sure yet. anyways thx again guys.

Hello rayray.....from Upstate New York. As I read your bio I was struck by the fact that you must have quite a few interesting stories to tell having lived in Sturgis. If your looking for a Tourer, now is the time, because there seem to be quite a few of them up for sale this time of year. You won't be disappointed.

We don't have a whole lot of member in Arizona, so if you and your father are doing a lot of riding in your state make certain you've got your camera with...

Welcome to the family, rayray. There's no doubt you will find lots of friends here. I think it is great that you can ride along with your dad and your wife too. There are a few options other than Tourer bags that will give you the look you want w/o the cost of factory Tourer bags. The Tourer bags and parts can be very expensive used because they are so hard to find. Here are some sources for the after market bags that look good;
