Hi all! I'm going to get some type of heated grips, but am loathe to lose my Kuryakyn iso gels. Anyone have experience using a "kit" that just
has the heated tape attached to the handlebars and then your grips go over top? Do they work? Do you think they're worth it? What grips have you used?

Most of the Wingers that I have talked with say that the heaters are about useless with the Kury grips. In that case you're better off with heated gloves
which draw about the same power.

I've read decent reviews of kits like that. One trick is to insulate the left side heater from the bar as well. Even though the left side heater is sized a
bit bigger, the handlebar soaks up so much of the heat, it leaves the grip cold. Simply wrapping the bar with electrician's tape or covering it with large
shrink tubing is suggested. The right side doesn't have this issue since it is installed onto the plastic throttle sleeve.
