I am looking into a new clearview for my 98T. I question height. I'm a tall rider but the stock shield seems to work well so far. I've seen a lot of
posts about taller shields. What is the best criteria to use when picking the height of the shield?

Any input would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Kevin,
It sounds like the height you have is perfect, but the real test is to see where the airstream goes when you are riding at cruising speeds. Hopefully, you
will not experience any helmet buffeting and the main airstream will go over the top of your helmet.

Well I did the level bit and it comes to just above my chin. Or between my chin and my lips. Right now I look over it but am curious in the extended height.
Have no idea why you would put spacers. Maybe because you can.
Let me know how you make out if you switch yours back to stock. How much taller is the Clearview you have?

When I bought my Tourer last year, it came with a Clearview windshield and the previous owner gave me the original stock windshield too. I don't know the
circumstances surrounding why the previous owner replaced the stock windshield with the Clearview one. If he told me I forgot. What I do know was that on my
initial ride I LOVED the protection that I got with the Clearview and the fact that I did not have to wear earplugs to keep the wind noise down.

Typically a windshield that is 3" to 4" lower than your eyes are best. That way you can look over the windshield, but the airstream still goes over
the top of your helmet. If you want to know where the airstream goes with your current windshield, get up to highway speed, then use your left hand to track
it from the top of the windshield back towards your helmet. It will be easy to feel the high and low pressure areas, to map-out where the high-pressure
windstream...
