Jay,

Most of our customers are tool and die makers. If I had access to even the most basic of their shops, this sucker could have been done a lot faster. Holy cow the work a water-jet could have saved me! Just working at home with a drill press and dremel was a bit more challenging. This should be no problem at a die shop. there was one change i can think of that is not in the CAD or...

Alepel, hope you didn't take me wrong; making one for me was a labor of love. Making one for someone else well... let's just say it would just be labor.

That said here is what anyone would need to make their own. Since headlights are "mission critical" I'm providing this information only as "here is what worked for me" It may not work for...

I'm fairly certain I'll open source this whole thing, that was my plan from the beginning. I'm gonna think about it a bit more, I'll let you know, Alepel has me thinking. The clear lens was sourced from EBAy as was most of this project....

I'll bet that illuminates the road 1000x better than the stock 'carbide powered' headlamp.

That looks fantastic ! Care to share or sell your part numbers and cad drawings? I'd love to have more light out front. Hi beam and driving lights still don't give me as much light in front of the T as I'd like.

Where did you come up with the clear lens that covers the whole thing ?

Me personally I would go with Stainless, but the black would look pretty eclectic.

I can pick then. This is one thing I don't like about the CAD renderings your sense of scale is all off. The #4's looked plenty big in the computer. No big deal screws are cheap.

Okay.....I can see that now. They looked like rivets. Perhaps a softer, still hi-tech look would be to use pan-head socket cap screws. Just a suggestion. I agree about painting the flat washers.

Ok guys I was holding off on updates of my real HID headlight retrofit. I just completed its maiden voyage and can't hold off any longer. I'm super pumped with the results so far. It still looks rough but its performance is unbelievable....
