Scott and Bob, I've just spent an enjoyable couple of hours perusing your blogs. I love reading the "slice of life" stuff. Kudos to both of you. What a great journey you're taking, Scott. Bob...you are soooo Bob in your blog. Love those lil' terriers.

I totally agree with you, Scott, about "blogging without obligation"! I post in my blog whenever I feel like it, or whenever I have time, or whenever the stars are aligned correctly and certain birds...

The heart of Texas may have stolen my heart. I was looking at real estate in the area last night. Koyote Ranch is the perfect place for an event like thunder in the hills, but the sign says they are biker friendly - I think they are biker rip offs. I don't know if $39 is a lot in this area, but it's more than I've spent per night anyplace else. $3.86 for a gallon of gas at their pumps, $3.19 just 20 miles away in Kerrville. The park is beautiful, the spaces large, the help...

I pinch myself to make sure it's real. Being able to retire at 55 is not something everyone has the opportunity to do, so I need to take full advantage of it. It keeps getting better.

Alain ~ I just checked the settings on the blog to make sure anyone can make comments. At the bottom of each post you can click on "Comments". You may then add a comment as an "anonymous". You will have to type in the matching set of alpha characters to get it published. Let me know if you still have a problem and I will contact Google for resolution. Other friends and family members have been able to add comments and anyone can read those, too.

Scott....I remember that you said that you were going to hit the road, but it took me awhile to realize that you actually did it. Please tell us more. How are you travelling? What is your trip itinerary? How long are you going to be on the road? Are you documenting your trip like Stoney is doing? (Whew....all these questions are tough). Are you going to return to the Northwest when your done? etc. etc.
