Freddie,

I have over 73,000 miles on my '98T and I have not had anything too bad stop working except the stator and voltage regulator which I may have hastened
their demise by adding some electrical accessories like a lightbar, a louder horn, a tachometer and some extra lights in the back. I would think that if you
keep your T you may have a few things fail, but nothing to sell the bike over. My ex-motorcycle mechanic brother has serviced Honda sportbikes with 160,000

I've never had to add a quart of oil to mine before, but it will get a thousand miles between the add marks on the stick which is only a few ounces. I have
never owned a Honda V-twin that did not need a little oil now and then. But I have owned 3 Suzuki V-twins that never used a drop between changes.

Used to be that 50k miles was considered excessive, but that was before filters were added. I have seen VT1100's with over 100k miles on them and still
going strong. There are...

i've never owned the tourer model, but have had a couple 1100 honda, an aero and a spirit. only problem i had was they both would consume a quart of oil
at a little over a thousand miles. wasn't really a problem, but i always change my oil about every two thousand, and never liked adding in between.
