        <![CDATA[ When I got home from work, waiting on my doorstep were the new Cobra floorboards I had been waiting for. I ripped into the box and examined them. I found it
curious that the floorboards were hinged like they were. My belief is that they are like that for cornering but then I don&#39;t understand why they bend
upwards and the forks underneath them stay in place. Can someone explain this to me?


One thing I noticed about the Cobra Floorboards that annoyed me a little was that the right side... ]]>

<p>I just cancelled my motel room for Americade 2008. I found myself travelling alone this year, because my brother was not going. I&#39;m sure I could have
hooked up with some riders, but my brother and I always shared expenses and now I would have to the costs alone. So I&#39;m going to have to skip this year. I
may try to go to the HSTAF rally in September, if I&#39;m not in the maternity ward waiting room with my wife waiting for her first grand... ]]></description>

a regular fixture on my T, actually feels odd when I ride solo!

You can&#39;t go wrong with the OEM Honda backrest. Ungrade it as I did with the wide Mustang pad and possibly those ingenious backrest lean angle adjusters
Sunshinebikergal&#39;s husband sells and your wife will feel secure and comfy behind you.

My right side cobra floorboard had quite a bit of vibration and I tried the same thing Stan did. I recall an email from Dartman advising that he spread a
fairly thick line of silicone on the peg underneath the floorboard, let it dry and then set the floor board down. The rubbery dry silicone acted as a good
cushion and seemed to work well for him.

After you get used to the floor boards and heel to toe shifter, you will find it quite comfortable.

			<description><![CDATA[ Stan when you are heel shifting up through the gears do you hold your heel down after a shift and then raise your heel for the the next shift? Or do you just
hold your heel over the peg until it is time to tap it down for the next shift? What I find that I am unaccustomed to is holding my heel up over the rear peg
waiting for each shift. I realize this is all still new to me and I just need to get use to it. I enjoyed the comfortable position for my feet. I found that my

			<description><![CDATA[ Al, I find it best to rest my heel on the rear peg of the shifter when getting ready to up shift. Shifting this way is more positive with less missed shifts.
Once I&#39;m in my final gear, I take my foot off the shifter entirely. Takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do you&#39;ll wonder how you ever got
along w/o one. I liked it so much that I put a H/T shifter on my Wing.

			<description><![CDATA[ Well today (Sunday) was first ride day. With the new battery the T started so fast it startled me. While the T was warming up I practiced with my new foot
positioning on the floorboards. Well all seemed easy enough so I headed out and had my first rude awakening. Bam right in the chins I got whacked by both
floorboards. Well okay we won&#39;t do that again (but it did).

			<description><![CDATA[ Well the Cobra Floorboards are now mounted and they look great. I had a bit of a hard time with the right side floorboard. It turned out that the mounting
bracket of the Cobra Engine guard did not allow me enough room to position the spacer. It took a little persuasion with a crescent wrench to give me the space
I needed. As thick as the bracket was it moved rather easily and I was in business.

			<description><![CDATA[ Dawn....Yup it&#39;s like Xmas in April. I&#39;ve been wanting these after last years riding season. I caught myself riding the brake a bit if I was really
paying attention to where my foot was. I had to make certain the toe of my boot was angled outward. So the floorboards should make it quite comfortable. My
next major expense has to be new tires. I&#39;ve only got 5K miles on my tires but they are the original tires. They look good but being 10 years old I
don&#39;t know if it is safe to... ]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[ Alen, I experienced the exact same thing. Cobra was more than happy to send out a couple new springs which I tweeked a bit and it did seem to help. You can
tell they use the same spring on both sides but the configuration is different so it&#39;s not quit tight enough for the brake side board. I intend to apply
some sort of rubber strip underneath the floor boards. That should keep them from rattling. Later, Greg ]]></description>
