I see Albert as one part that defined the 60's & 70's. I explored many areas which included some journeys that did not reward with frequent flyer miles.

For what ever the reasons, Vietnam war, drugs, Hait Ashbury, San Francisco, John & Yoko, Jefferson Airplane, Doors, the list goes on... but it shaped a generation of creativity that has never been duplicated.

It would be hard to imagine the era without the psychedelic influence.

I can say that I experienced the 60's. Let's just say that I knew the man's product. My best time was at Disneyland in California. I can't discribe to you what a 'trip' It's a Small World and Pirates of the Carribean was, but I'll never forget them. Hofmann died Tuesday at his home in Burg im Leimental, said Doris Stuker, a municipal clerk in the village near Basel where Hofmann moved following his retirement in 1971.

For decades after LSD was banned in the late 1960s, Hofmann defended his invention.
