Does your significant other ride with you? |

Just curious about how many spouses/significant others will climb on the back of your T. Mine won't. And I don't blame her or pressure her to.

My wife and I have ridden together for 24 years. Our schedules don't always line up but our time on the bike together is very important to us. It's even fun on the bike together when it's just sitting in the garage, with the doors shut, and no one else is home.........

Like Bugler, we spend as much time together. Our ridding time is our quiet time together.

Yes my wife rides with me...but on her OWN bike. I think its a control thing. Not really. It is a very special time when we ride together. It sure helps that she is nuts about bikes....sure is a lot easier when I get new toys for my bike. Lets see....two for mine...one for hers. Bob

My wife has a degenerating 5th lumbar disk which means she can ride for about 15 miles before the pain is too much. She likes cruising through the neighborhoods looking at beautiful homes and discussing it through our Chatterbox intercom. That happens about twice a year and I enjoy it immensely whenever we get out together.

99% of my rides are with the wife on board. Joanne is a great passenger. I feel blessed to have someone who enjoys the motorcycling experience as much as I do. She has been sharing the ride since we married in 1973.

My wife doesn't like motorcycles, cruisers or otherwise. Although she has traveled the country to motorcycle races for the last 12 years.
And now her son wants to buy a bike. She is handling it quietly. I'm not involved, it is obvious where I stand. If he rides smartly he can have much fun, but we all know that. Her vacations are when I go off somewhere like Daytona, this year will be 15 days for me if you count the race time before Bike Week.

A few years ago I bought my wife a 1986 250 Rebel that was in great condition and tried to get her used to riding by herself. She was making progress, but couldn't get up the nerve to speed up. After a while she just wouldn't ride it anymore. She just plain got scared to ride by herself.
Now she is my constant companion for two up rides everywhere I go. I very seldom get to ride solo. She loves to ride, but doesn't like the wind in her face or cold weather. I like having her with me, so I put up with most of the quirks and the totally maxed out saddlebags. Why do women have to carry everything and the kitchen sink? Gotta love 'em.![]() ![]() Papamte (MIKE)

Larry, I did read your post, and I loved it. My wife is quite a character. She does love to ride! I guess that's what matters most.

My wife has her own bike, A 2003 Harley-Davidson FXD Superglide. We ride every chance we get. She "had" to do the H-D thing.Im happy with my Tourer, plus I could buy 3 Tourers for the money she's got into the Harley. Now don't misunderstand me, I'm not Ripping on harley, they make a great product. Harley people are genuine people. All my group riding is with harley's, either with the HOG chapter or through one of the many dealer sponsered events. the support that harley provides its customers with is top notch.

a friend of mine gave me permission to ride his 45 CI Harley. when I went to get it, for a local ride, I had to get into the gararge, which was locked. His kid sister, who was the only one home, said I could take the bike as long as I took her with me... She has been riding with me for the 45 or so years since

My lovely frau thinks that if we so much as rode around the block together, we'd both die and leave our 10 year old girl an orphan. I've heard of risk vs. reward, but this is ridiculous!

She used to ride on the wing we still have. Somehow didn't feel secure as we became older. Said it was her not me. So, last year found the T and she liked the Az colors and the fact that it was lower to the ground. So I bought it, she has been on it twice-go figure. I truly love it and seldom take the wing out. Want to buy it ?--Dick
