Posts: 5631 10/02/05 3:45 PM	Tags : None From the Blue Ridge Parkway web site: *Quote:* An eight mile section of the Parkway from Milepost 317-325, just south of Linville Falls remains closed due to damage from a series of three tropical storms that hit the region last September. This section will probably not open again until the spring of 2006. The rest of the 469-mile scenic roadway and all campgrounds, visitor centers and other public facilities are open. HSATF Tail Gunner Posts: 93 10/04/05 4:12 AM Second Officer	The detour on Hwy 194 off the BRP heading south is a fun ride, while the rest of the detour is nondescript but not too far out of the way and it will bring you back to the BRP about 3 miles north of Little Switzerland, which is a good place to spend the night or stop for a cold drink and if time permits a good meal.
