I removed my back tire this past weekend to replace with the E3. After I got the tire off, I noticed a small oil drip under the bike. When I set the pads against the frame tubes, the "elbow" joint was resting against the oil filter. I didn't notice it till I saw the oil drip.
Use caution when placing the pads using the Sams club lift. I was lucky in that I had another oil filter on hand already, so went ahead and changed the oil and filter. I had lost about 1/2 quart onto the garage floor before I had the tire back on the bike and removed from the jack.
The new E3 seems to grip well, but I also have a howling noise that wasn't there previously. I'm hoping it will quiet down as it gets a few miles on it.
