Alain, if finances were a bit more fluid on this end, I'd take her in a heartbeat. She reminds me of my '87 VT700C so much it hurts to looks at her. I've never really gotten over letting the '87 go. Good luck with the sell. Somebody is really going to get a sweet ride. "We want to be free... Free to ride our machines without being hassled by the man!" |

Alain: I just had to go back to the pictures of your pride and joy....What a beautiful bike. Everything is perfect on the bike and having ridden one similar to
it, I can attest to the fact that it is a joy to ride and I am sure, even a bigger joy to own.
You have taken such good care of this bike, and I hate to call it a bike. I consider it more of an extension of yourself...a part of yourself, a sort of oneness that you have nurtured over the past few years. Alain, you must be a VERY strong person to be able to just turn your back on this creation. I know I couldn't but I honor you for the intestinal fortitude and discipline it must take to cast her off and move on to another. I do hope you are mentally and physically prepared Alain for the day the new owner drives away on her. Please make sure you have plenty of emotional support over the following months. Good luck my friend. Bob

Alain, you must be a VERY strong person to be able to just turn your back on this creation. I know I couldn't but I honor you for the intestinal fortitude and discipline it must take to cast her off and move on to another. Thanks Bob.....those were kind words of consolation. I've got to tell you something. I spent 20+ years of my life building from Streetrods from scratch. I've built many cars over those years and each one I parted with hurt. The last one in particular because I was forced to sell it because of my divorce. As I reflect on them I think of them like children who have left home never to have returned. But the reason I parted with the each cars was because I was moving onto something better. So it is with my thoughts on the Tourer. I sit here in the office fantasizing over riding a Tourer and the places I want to travel with a big crusier. I would also like to rid myself of this "wannabie" feeling that I have imposed on myself about owning a T. Now is the time! Alain |

Alain, You will NEVER regret buying the T ! As you know very well from being apart of this group they are just a joy to own and ride . Easy handling ,vey good
performance and just great to look at
As a complete
package I enjoyed my T more than the Nomad I currently have .Take the leap of faith and go for it . You'll wonder why you waited so long after you've
put a few miles on it.
P.S. Your 800 is sweet looking too . Doug
I'm glad to be here but.....where was I going ?

beautiful bike alain. i'd seen pics of it in your avatar, but that didn't do it justice. these shots really show off it's beauty. last year when i
sold the suzi lc, i had thought about an 800 for a smaller bike, but my brother talked me out of it and that's when i came across Halfbreed. the 800 are
great "around town" bikes and that's where i ride mostly, but it is good to be able to get out on the open road in comfort and i think that's
what you'll get with the tourer.
you might want to try craigslist. i've sold a couple motorcycles there and it's free. you can ad up to four pics also. good luck with the sale and i hope you find someone who you'll feel comfort with being it's new owner. later, bud |

Alain,
You've taken very good care of your bike and it will make someone happy. Once you ride a cruiser you'll never go back and the T is a great ride. Let us know when you land one. Mark |

Alpel,
Sweet looking ride. I can see how selling her is a painful thing. I have used craigs list for selling bikes, with great success. You will really enjoy your "T" when you find her.....hopefully soon...Bob <>< |

Well everyone....I posted my bike on ebay yesterday afternoon. I wanted to give this as much exposure as possible. Craigslist has already started with a few
emails that I've got to answer later and ebay this morning produced four bids already.
There is something exciting about watching the ebay bidding on your items. It sort of feels like feeling you get when you coins falling in a payoff in a slot machine. You wonder just how much is going to drop! alepel |

Just got a little excited this evening. I got an email from someone who saw the ad in craigslist and wanted to make me an offer. Not quite what I was asking
but he is also watching my ebay listing and he's trying to leverage on it. Since I've only been at this three days, I'm willing to wait until ebay
is done. He'll have to deal with that also. If ebay fails me his offer is a good one. In any event it is a win win for me. Oh boy....I can feel it coming!
