There's a rattling sound whenever I start to accelerate. It doesn't happen when idling. When I start accelerating, about mid way it starts. As I accelerate, it stops. I shift gears, about mid way its starts. As I accelerate it stops. This happens through all the gears. Anyone know what this might be? I'm guessing it's in the drivetrain.

After re-reading your post again, it's most likely something loose and is sounding off at a given RPM range. I'd be willing to bet that you have
something like an exhaust heat shield, or maybe a bracket loose somewhere. Try gently banging around on various components while parked. If no sound, then
warm the bike up completely and then try again.. My Suzuki Marauder had a vibration at certain speeds or RPM's and I didn't find it until I had to
replace the headlight bulb. It was then that I found out why the bulb had blown. It was dangling loose inside the headlight bucket. The tention clip had fell
off and the bulb and holder was just flopping around losely. Replaced the bulb, clip, and put it back into the holder - no more noise. I've also had an
aftermarket chrome tag holder that caused a vibration once because it only used the 2 top bolts to mount it. The tag and holder were getting rythem together at
the bottom. I put two more dummy bolts in the bottom holes and that was that.

i'm with bama on this one. last summer my cobra "School Bell" fake air cleaner came lose and "Rang" in every gear as i went thur a
certain RPM. scared me real good untill i figured out it was so simple.
