I've been riding since the middle 1970s, and currently have a 98 Shadow Tourer, an 86 V65 Magna, and an 03 ST1300ABS. I recently purchased the Tourer; I had a 2000, and was really sorry to sell it. The Tourer is for around the Hill Country area, while the ST1300 goes places like central Mexico, St Johhn's Newfounfland, and Deadhorse Alaska. The V65 is the odd man out - wanta to buy an 86 in great shape?
I live in Wimberley, TX (Where Heaven Meets the Hills), which is full of really, really old-time residents, old hippees and professionals escaping from Austin, and a large artisian community. Both my wife and I teach at Ausin Community College.
I generally ride 25-35k miles per year, with at least one major trip during the second summer semester. Last year the 03 ST went to Prudhoe Bay, AK, and this summer I want to ride down to the Panama Canal.
I have several zillion questions, so I'll get them organized and start to post.
