I'd sure like to see a picture of the Jardine forward controls w/mini floorboards actually on a Tourer. I'd also like feedback as to how they feel
& work. That's one hell of a lot of $ to spend without knowing. I built the ones for my 85 VT-1100. They didn't make many AM parts for her.

Yea I know what you mean. I've been looking on E-bay and have found two guys that make retro fit units for the 600's and the ACE 750 but none for our
T's yet-still looking. Anyone have any info on FC other than the big $ ones.

I don't have much info, but just a few comments.
Yes, it really, uh, sucks that there are not some low cost FC for the Tourer. My co-worker has an 1100 sabre that has forward controls. I believe his was like a $70 dollar adapter kit that moves his stock shifter and brake pedal forward. The design of the sabre is pretty dang close to that of the T - not sure why they are not offered. Also - last winter (winter of 06-07) Ebay, the MAPAM FC's specifically for the T were going for somewhere in the $250 range - much more palatable. ( I think they are going for $360 or so this year) At the time, however, I was also considering the Cobra boards and did not think the two would play nicely together. I never had boards before so I went that route instead. |
