It sure does! When we pulled in last night, just after dark, John said, "It would be safe to say, we have ridden ALL day long!"

Congrats on iron-butting the Trace. How long did it take you? What is the official speed limit on the Trace?

Thanks for the pictures Rick. That is a lot of miles in one day. Other than all those miles, any high points along the way? Bob

Marsha and I rode the NT last year. We took our time and rode it in two days stopping in Tupelo for the night and taking the Elvis tour.
It's not the prettiest "byway", but it is a very nice ride. Lot's of rolls and curves. The speed limit is 55, as best I remember. (Right?) I do recall several pickup trucks "haulin @ss" and tailgating us. Did you and "your son" encounter any of that? -Dan |

The speed limit is 50 mph except for the last few miles near Nashville where it is 40 mph.
"My son" and I did encounter a little of the speedsters. Most of that happens around Tupelo or Jackson, MS. They don't seem to be as strict around these populated areas. The rest of the Trace is pretty much held at 55 or below or you will get a ticket! It was kinda funny, after we were on the road for about an hour, I realised that I had forgotten both cell phones! I told John we were 'Wild Hogs" and he needed to chunk his cell phone.("Chunk", thats throw for you city type! ) He wouldn't go along with me on that one! Later that
day, we were in TN and I needed fuel. We found a small town, called Collinwood and rolled in. They were having one heck of a festival! Street dancing, bands,
CaryOkie, carnival etc. I told John now we are really the "Wild Hogs"! I just hoped there wasn't a bunch of A$$holes coming to town to kick our butts!
