Got A New Elite III
I think that I researched this to death and I really don't want to think about tires for a long time. But in the meanwhile I now have a brand spanking new
Dunlop Elite III rear tire on my T. I purchased the tire from a motorcycle shop I only just learned about a couple of miles from my home. The shop owner worked
me a good deal and while I could have saved more, I was glad to establish a business relationship with the "new guy". He immediately won me over
talking me out of some work he felt that did not need to be done, although he said he would check to make certain it wasn't a problem. I like that.
I was barely able to get my T home when the skies opened and it proceed to pour and pour and pour. Probably just as well. It was so hot here I could hardly bear wearing my leather and helmet any longer. Enjoying the new tire will have to wait for another day. I feel good knowing that the consensus of opinion is that I have one of the better rear tires on my Tourer for several seasons of riding with piece of mind.
So this rear tire was my second known "big" purchase for the year. My Cobra floorboards being my first. Now I'm ready to set my sights on a few other 'items' to personalize this bike to my own. Gee.....I love shopping!
