Wanted a good used set of SABRE 1100 SHOCKS, and a good used DRIVER BACKREST for my Ace Tourer. Please respond to s dot gill at sasktel dot net.
And.....does anyone know if an Aero 1100 seat (or Ace or Spirit) will fit the Ace T (I'm not very heavy and find the T seat a bit too hard) ? Thx.

why sabre shocks? are they shorter? if so, how much shorter?

Here is Custom World International's newest driver backrest for the VT1100C Spirit. The Spirit has the same seat as the Tourer and Ace. Prepare yourself
for sticker shock, but CWI makes the best looking backrest for the VT1100's, and they fold down and are adjustable.

Same 12" length, but I think they may have different spring rates. My T's shocks hit very hard over sharp bumps (regardless of settings), and my aging back suffers as a result. I rode a friends 1100 Sabre, and was surprised at it's more compliant shock action, so I'm very anxious to try a set on my T. I've also owned an Aero 1100, and although the shocks looked the same, my Aero absorbed every bump perfectly. Honda must have used several different shocks on the VT1100 models. |
