I have a Corbin seat with both backrests now but my wife keeps sliding forward. She liked the stock seat because it kept her in one place. The backrest should be as tall as possible.... and wide. I have to admit some of the problem is my braking. After 30+ years of riding rice rockets my adjustment to cruiser riding is....... prolonged......... shall we say. Cruisers are ungainly at low speeds and, well, not nearly as intuitive to ride. Add another person and I have to actually think about cornering, and balanced braking. I guess I'm stuck in an early 80's hyperbike mindset. The good part is that my footpeg rubbers aren't held on by duct tape anymore. Never ask a biker why they ride cause you won't understand the answer.

HSATF Tail Gunner Posts: 139 05/19/08 11:53 AM	I'm going to hold on to the Corbin for now. After I get a sissy bar I'll try it with and without the Corbin. Actually I like the stock seat better as I think the Corbin is probably more comfortable for longer legged riders. The shape of the stock seat also makes it easier for passengers to not slide forward. Also while I'm up here in Kanada the outrageous shipping charges in and out making changing for the sake of changing a bad idea. i.e. newenough.com now charges over $25US to ship an $18 pair of gloves to Kanada. The same gloves when I'm living in Yuma are only $5+ for the shipping charges. Many Canadians just drive over to Washington for bike stuff, but I live on an island and the ferry charge to get to the mainland for a vehicle and my wife and I is $67 one way.

Posts: 935 05/19/08 12:38 PM	no problem alan, and you're right about the shipping. i'm taking the roadhouse exhaust off my aero and putting the stocks back on...just like the looks better and i gutted them so they have a good sound. but, i have a guy in sweden who wants the roadhouse set very bad and i checked fedex for shipping. just took some approximate weights and measurements, as i still had the pipes on the bike (just finished changing them) and the shipping was $467.00!!!!!! couldn't believe it. i went to the post office the next day and gave them the same weights and measurements and they'll ship for $147......much better, but still pretty high. think the guy is going to take them though. good luck with the seat, my ladyfriend had the same problem on another bike i had...kept sliding forward, but she really likes the mustang and even moreso since i put the floorboards on. she says it's real comfy now. later, bud
