First, let me inform you that I used to be a strict HD only kind of guy until I rode my friends Shadow. I am a shade-tree mechanic when it comes to Harley's, and I have to admit that the thought of working on a Honda is a bit intimidating seeing that I have only ever worked on HD. I am up to the challenge, but the radiator is really what intimidates me. Onto my question, I guess...
I want to change out / do something with the stock pipes on this 2002 Honda VT750 A.C.E. that I am about to purchase from a guy I know. What would be the cheapest way for me to do this? I was thinking about boring out the baffles, but was unsure on whether or not I would have to re-jet the bike? If I was to replace the OEM pipes, then what would be some really nice suggestions on giving me a more manly sound? Right now it sounds more like a sewing machine. I love the bike, but the only thing I am having trouble getting past is the lack of a throaty rumble to my bike. Any suggestions?
Thanks for anything you guys might be able to help me with.
