Hitch?
My 73-year-old pa is riding his Aero750 to VA all the way from WI in June, and will be here for a couple of weeks. I've been filling up a "to do"
list of great places to ride, and also a few things to do. Dad LOVES to build stuff (you should see the golf bag rack he built so he can tote his clubs to the
course on the motorcycle!!). I've been toying around with the idea of building a trailer for Matty to pull, and having Dad and I do it together would be
cool. Time to start some research!
A. What kind of hitch do you guys use on your bikes? Any pics of the hitch setup would be VERY helpful!
B. What issues have you run into with hauling a trailer behind your bike?
C. I've heard that 12" wheels are better, less prone to heating/bearing problems? Is this true?
A few guys at hondashadow.net have used the Harbor Freight trailers and a cargo carrier (or built their own boxes).
Any other info would be greatly appreciated - I've been looking at trailer sites for half the afternoon, and there is NO way I have the "ka-ching" to buy a new trailer (though I have TOTALLY fallen in love with the one that looks like a mini horse trailer - I could soooo see my Min Pin, Bella in that rig).
