I'm looking to get some Aerostitch Gear. I'm drawn towards the Darien line. Anybody out there have Darien and care to provide some feedback??
Thanks!

I'm hoping to save enough money to get something next summer. I'll be checking all the pay phones for quarters.

Kirk,
Looks like Oakland Kevin has a yellow Aerostich one-piece riding suit. You may want to drop him a line, or maybe he will respond to your Post here.

as I'm getting older, I'm looking for better ways to "protect my bacon" instead of "looking good". Some may argue no matter how I
try, I'll never look good
I've been trying to ride the bike more all the time. For a couple reasons... fun and budget. When I drive to the airport, I spend between 60-80 bucks for gas, on the bike it'll be 15-25 bucks. For me, add the savings in gas with the fun I get in riding. Easy choice for me. So, to be safer, I want to get some better gear. Also, riding home on Friday nite in 35 degree weather, I was wishing for better gear!! It'll take a lot of trips to the airport to save enough money to pay for the gear tho.

I use the Raodcrafter by Aerosticth. It's the one piece unit. I really enjoy how fast and easy it is to put on and take off. With a little coaxing, I can
get the suit to fit into one of the saddle bags. I got caught in a hard rain one time and the suit kept me dry. It has lots of pockets and several ventilation
ports. I have had several people express how impressed they were with the reflectiveness of the suit. I feel rather secure when running down the interstate. I
read a few stories of people going down while wearing it and had great things to say about the effectiveness of the suit.
At $800 it's a bit pricey but how much does a skin graft cost?.... Bottom line; It's a great suit Carl aka: dascon |

They have proven to be a great asset... I wear them when I ride to the airport (which happens a lot!). I put them on over my clothes, when I get the the
parking place at the airport, take them off, stuff them into the saddlebags, grab my duffel off the back seat and head to the plane. I don't have to worry
about the weather either.
Sure saves on gas money to the airport, and make the drive/ride there so much nicer. (Like I have to tell this group that!?!?!)
