US 62 along the Allegheny river is very scenic and one of my favorites. I try to ride it once a year. US20 from Albany to Geneva is a bikers paradise. Over half of the road is a two lane divided highway in each direction. During my trip I saw more motorcycles than cars/trucks and believe my total travel time was only 20-30 minutes slower than taking the NY turnpike (and a whole lot more fun too). And believe it or not, I86 between Corning and Erie is a very nice piece of road, not a typical superslab. It's kind of like I68 west of Hagarstown MD or I40 west of Asheville.
Any way, I'm tossing this idea out. Looking for some thoughts.
