Welcome to the Forum CJJCsMom! We certainly have a few members from Arkansas including Uncle Clay and April. At this time I am not aware of any clubs in the Ozark, but what do I know, I have just moved from Indiana to South Carolina. Last month, I did get to enjoy Mountain Magazine Scenic Byway in a rental Malibu. I would like to go back and ride a bike on that curvy road. Is that one you regularly ride? What other roads would you recommend in the Ozarks?

CJJCs Mom,
I live in central Arkansas (Benton) and I read on the Eureka Springs rally post that you will probably make that one. The only time I will be in your part of Arkansas before that is on the weekend of Feb 17 & 18. I will be in Fayetteville that weekend rooting on my hogs @ Bud Walton Arena. We won't be riding, though. I'm going with 3 girlfriends that would be afraid their hair might get messed up. But, we will be out running around on Saturday night after the game ![]() April

I have a farm in North Central Ark, Near Mt. View. I know that the back roads near there are great for riding. Try route 92 from Greers Ferry towards Drasco,
turn left on road 293 to Prim, there is one stretch right at the start of this road that has about 15 hairpins in a 2 mile stretch going down to the river,
across the bridge, and back up. This is really pretty rolling country. Past Prim, this road turns into route 18, and passes within a couple hundred yards of
the farm. In the winter months, keep an eye out for Bald Eagles along this stretch, there are quite a few in this area! At the end, turn right to Mt. View, or
left then left again after about a mile, ( at the T-intersection ), to go back to Greers Ferry. Be very careful dropping into Shirley, the road is very steep
and curvy. Alternately, You can take a left in Prim on 225, and this will take you back to 92 just outside Greers Ferry. Oh, I don't live on the farm,
I'm in Denver now, but if anyone is out that way, and wants a place to camp for the night give a shout, and I'll let the neighbors know to expect you
out there. I'll also send better directions, and tell you how to find it on Google Maps.
Cheers! |

I'm not familiar with the clubs located in Arkansas, but my club spends Memorial Day weekend at The Hub every year, plus at least one other weekend during the fall. The owners Randal and Debbie treats us very well. I haven't had the opportunity to make it up yet but plan to this year.
