Bled the brakes..no sweat. Finally got brave and changed the old fluid out(it was really brown). The job was an easy one, the most difficult part being removal
of the rt. saddle bag and front caliper cover. Bought a brake fluid drain kit from PepBoys and used the wife to pump the brakes while I worked the drain valve
on the calipers.. Real piece of cake and the brakes seem to be more positive too...Bob <><

There is a product called "Speed Bleeders" out that makes this a one man operation. It's a must have if more than one caliper is on the front, or
on ABS systems. They are about $12 -15 at most parts places. They only allow the fluid to move one way. You screw them in at the caliper and start pumping the
brake lever until almost all the fluid is gone from the reservoir. You keep adding fresh fluid and pumping it out until the fluid at the caliper runs clear.
The fluid shoots out the bleeder, but an internal valve inside the bleeder won't allow air to be sucked back into the caliper. my son swears by them when
repairing ATV brakes and clutches.

Thanks Stan, I knew similiar products were available, but couldn't find one locally. The bleeder from Pep-Boys prevents draw back through the bleed valve,
but depends on manual pumping of the brakes. That's how I learned years ago, using a soda bottle, so I decided to go ahead with what was locally
available..Also, I had a gift certificate from Pep-Boys that my wife had picked up as a door prize. It paid for the bleeder, synthetic fluid, a new oil filter
and I had enough change left to buy the kid working there a soft drink....That worked out well for all...Bob <><
