We replaced the front brake fluid (rear brake is a mechanical drum), which was a bit of a challenge since the Spirit handlebars have alot of angle on them. In any case, the odd thing was this piece of lightweight plastic (like HDPE) floating atop the brake fluid inside the master cylinder. My T doesn't have anything like that and I can only guess it's for easier viewing of the fluid level through the sight glass. Any of you guys with newer models have this too?
btw, the old fluid was very dark at the caliper (almost like coffee) and about the color of light maple syrup at the master cylinder. The owner was very surprised when the new fluid from the bottle was near colorless.
