HSATF Member Posts: 6 04/30/08 12:44 PM	Tags : None Hey everybody! One of the new guys. Got my 00 T in Feb. I LOOOOOOVE it! Myself and three guys are planning a road trip to Colorado this summer. I have been using the site to answer all kinds of questions. I do not have alot of mechanical experience at all, but can't wait to do a little tinkering. Still working on getting all my gear and tools together. I appreciate all of you sharing your wisdom so a novice like myself will have the confidence to jump right in! I have been driving my wife crazy as I ride EVERY opportunity I get. I love the bike. I will let you all know how the road trip goes! See ya on the road! Mike

Posts: 8078 04/30/08 2:35 PM	Hello Mike (blknyt) and welcome to the forum from upstate New York. Congratulations on your recent ownership of the Tourer. Post a picture or two so we can all see your beauty. Okay you can post a picture of the T also. I wouldn't worry too much about mechanical experience for the T, one of the bikes main features is being relatively trouble free. So a polishing rag and and an oil filter wrench will probably be all that you need. The road trip to Colorado sounds great, just don't forget the camera and all of us at home waiting to see and hear how the trip went. I've been known to yell out.... Pictures....Pictures....Pictures just a few times, so don't disappointment me. Now the trick as far as the wife goes, is to get her to go with you. Then when you start talking about chrome she can better visualize how good she will look on a nice shiney chromed out bike. Welcome to the Forum once again. I will be looking forward to 'talking' with you more in the future. I have to wait for her to feel confident enough. She has had a lot of health issues and does not feel comfortable right now. But I can't wait to share an early morning sunrise or a beautiful sunset with her on the road. We do that now on the deck and front porch, but on the road is Awesome!! Thanks for the kind words, I'll talk to ya later! The blknyt stands for "Black Knight". A buddy and I were joking around about my black bike, somehow I got called the Black Knight and it has stuck.
