Posts: 2266 04/27/08 5:14 PM	Tags : None I advertised Sue's Yamaha on Craigslist the other day and had a call about five minutes later asking about the bike. The family came out later that day and purchased it. Today they picked it up. But here is the weird part. The guy who bought my bike several weeks ago was name Gary. The guy who bought Sue's bike...yup....Gary. Here are a few pictures. The guy on the bike is Jacob, the son of Gary and Karen. All three are bike riders. Their daughter just turned 16 and is hinting that she may take the motorcycle course. And finally...Sue, Jacob's mother Karen and her daughter. My garage is starting to look empty! Bob

Posts: 1901 04/27/08 8:16 PM	Bob, I effin love Craigslist. Wanted to clear out the barn and started listing stuff. Sold a chipper/shreder in a couple days. Listed my 1990 Miata Thursday night, had five emails of interest by Friday am, and sold the car Saturday by 11am. The wing took a little longer, but I think not more than two weeks. BTW, my wing now lived in Amherst Ohio. The best part... craigslist.org is free. An ad in the Cleveland PD runs $65-100 for 10days and I did not have much luck when I listed my T and Holly's Reflex. Even a 10 day bidding war on eBay costs $40 plus selling fees. I know what you mean by that 'garage is looking empty' feeling. Pulled the car in last night and could open the doors all the way. Andy

Posts: 754 04/28/08 7:54 AM	congrats bob, i'm a big fan of craigslist too. it's amazing the things people want. i put some stuff in the "free" section last week that i was going to put in the trash, and whattauknow....people came and picked it up. here in k.c., you do have to put up with a lot of b.s. from "tire kickers", but lately i have gotten to putting at the end of my ads..."NO TIRE KICKERS, BE SERIOUS!!" that has seemed to help. sounds like you have some room in your garage....want some "stuff" to fill that vacant feeling? bud

Posts: 2266 04/28/08 9:45 AM	These people were so anxious to buy the bike. In the third picture left to right...their daughter, Karen (holding the check she was about to hand over) and my wife Sue. Have you ever seen anyone to happy to hand over a check? Craigslist is wild. I put a garden tiller on a few weeks ago and it was sold in a half hour. My attached double garage holds our two vehicles. It is 24X28 and is pretty full with an Expedition and Ford F150. I have another building that is one third garage (28x24) and two-thirds workshop. The garage portion is now empty except for my garden tractor and a few attachments. That is just weird to actually have space in a garage. My manhood may suffer if I don't get it filled up soon! Bob
