I finally got out for a quick ride in today (120 miles). I feel that
it is too early for the mountains in Colorado, so I rode parallel to the foot hills. I experimented with some rural
roads north of Boulder and found some nice riding. I think the area that I rode in had more horses per capita than any
place I have ever been to before. It remember thinking that these people probably would not trust anyone who did not
ride a horse, as it would be unthinkable and "strange".
Here is a view of the mountains from a local park in Arvada, Co 5 miles from from my home.
On the way to the Boulder area.

David.....you can post all the pictures like these that you want. If this is the kind of scenery that you see everytime you ride, how do you keep your eyes on
the road? I am just insanely jealous of of your view. Please anymore photos are greatly appreciated. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice David, very nice. My daughter and her family live outside the "Springs" (thats Colorado Springs for you people from away) in Elbert, CO.
We just love seeing those mountain vistas when we visit there. Makes our local White Mts. in NH & ME look kinda like mole hills in comparison

Alain, Rich and yourself have some nice mountains too. I have been around the Aderondack mountains and that is beautiful. Electricdawn, You pegged it. Those expansive vistas give plenty of space to let your mind wander freely.
